Te Reo

We have been learning to write simple sentences in Te Reo. I found it quite hard because I have had a hard time understanding. I have a bad memory - I keep forgetting the Te Reo words. BUT I did it. I didn't give up! (I wanted to give up though).

I am proud I kept going.

Maths - Area & Perimeter

In maths we are using popsicle sticks to learn about the area and perimeter of shapes. 

The perimeter is the outside measurement. The area is the number of squares inside.

Cross country

Today is cross country. I think l will come around 5th place because I am fast.

Here is a photo just after the hooter went off. I was feeling quite excited.

I came 8th place. I had big stitch. Running up the stairs tired me out!

World of Maths

Last week the World of Maths Roadshow came to our school. We had to work together to solve maths challenges.

I think brick up is the hardest but it was the most fun. For this activity we had to find the secret code by lifting blocks to make them even. We had to find the matching block to fit underneath.

Assembly

In weak 4 the brain busters had an amazing assembly.

oh no it is the real  Assembly. finally it is my  turn hhhh I mumbled. It felt like it took 5 hours I felt very nervous . it ended a little while later. Tap the links to watch

Sports Start

This term our class has been using Sports Start. We are getting better at these skills:

• running
• catching
• passing
• throwing
• jumping
• fast reactions
• batting

Our class has been playing Diamond Ball which is like Baseball/Softball.

I have improved with catching.

I really enjoyed running.

I need to keep working on hitting the ball bacause I do not have very good aim. I need o be able to hit the ball into space. 

Dance NZ Made

I have been learning a dance for dance nz made. I have decide to quit now because I don't really like dancing but I just wanted to give it a try.
